Overview

Sittong, often referred to as the "Orange Village," is a collection of scenic Lepcha hamlets perched at an altitude of 4,000 feet. It is a rising star in North Bengal's offbeat tourism, celebrated for its sprawling orange orchards that turn the hillsides golden during winter. Beyond its fruits, Sittong is a sanctuary of peace, offering lush pine forests, tranquil tea gardens, and stunning 360-degree views of the Eastern Himalayas. It is also one of the few places in the world where you can spot the rare Himalayan Salamander at the seasonal Namthing Pokhri lake.
