Overview
The Himalayan Heritage Hub is a unique multi-attraction complex on Jawahar Parbat. It houses the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI), founded in 1954 to honour Tenzing Norgay’s Everest feat, and the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, world-renowned for breeding endangered species like Red Pandas and Snow Leopards. The complex also features the Everest Museum and the Bengal Natural History Museum, making it a singular destination for wildlife, adventure, and history.

Plastic-Free Zone: The campus strictly bans plastic bottles. You must pay a ₹10 refundable deposit for a sticker if you carry one.
The "Red Panda" Rule: Arrive before 11:00 AM; these shy animals are most active during morning feeding.
Respect the Silence: HMI is an active military-run academy; maintain silence near training areas.
Museum Protocol: Flash photography is strictly forbidden inside the Everest Museum to protect heritage artefacts.
