Overview

Standing at an altitude of 2,590 metres (8,500 ft), Tiger Hill is the highest point in Darjeeling and is internationally acclaimed for its breathtaking sunrise views over the Eastern Himalayas. On a clear morning, you can witness the first rays of the sun illuminate the snow-capped peaks of Mount Kanchenjunga (the world's third-highest peak) in shades of gold and pink. It is one of the few spots globally where you can see both Kanchenjunga and Mount Everest together. The peak is part of the Senchal Wildlife Sanctuary and serves as the summit of Ghoom, home to the highest railway station on the UNESCO-listed Darjeeling Himalayan Railway.
