Prem Mandir (Temple of Divine Love)
Highlights
Overview
Prem Mandir, maintained by Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat, is a massive spiritual complex spread over 55 acres. Constructed entirely of high-grade Italian Carrara marble, it was built over 11 years and opened in 2012. The temple is famous for its intricate carvings and life-sized tableaux (statue groups) depicting major pastimes of Lord Krishna and Lord Rama. At night, the entire structure is transformed by a computerised lighting system that changes the temple's colour every few seconds, making it one of the most photographed modern religious structures in India.
