Overview

The Dwarkadhish Temple is one of the oldest and most significant temples in Mathura, dedicated to Lord Krishna in his regal form as the "King of Dwarka". Built in 1814 by Seth Gokul Das Parikh, the treasurer of the Gwalior State, the temple is renowned for its stunning Rajasthani architecture and intricate murals. The central deity is a black marble idol of Lord Dwarkadhish, accompanied by a white marble idol of Radharani. Situated near the sacred Vishram Ghat, the temple serves as a major center for the Pushtimarg tradition of Vaishnavism.
