Namo Ghat
Overview
Namo Ghat officially the 84th ghat of Varanasi, is a modern riverfront redevelopment that blends contemporary infrastructure with spiritual heritage. Spanning approximately 21,000 square meters, it is distinguished by three iconic "Namaste" sculptures—folded hand structures ranging from 15 to 25 feet in height. Unlike the older, congested ghats,Namo Ghat offers wide open spaces, a viewing deck, and a cleaner environment suitable for both rituals and recreation. It is the first ghat in Varanasi to be fully accessible to the elderly and differently-abled via ramps. The facility includes modern amenities like a cafeteria, an open-air theatre, and the world's first floating CNG station.
