Hanuman Tok, perched at an altitude of 7,200 feet (2,194 m), is the highest point in Gangtok and one of its most revered spiritual sites. Dedicated to Lord Hanuman, the temple is meticulously maintained by the Indian Army, ensuring a scrupulously clean and peaceful environment. According to local legend, Lord Hanuman halted here for a moment to rest while carrying the Sanjeevani herb to Lanka. The site offers an unparalleled 360-degree view, showing the sparkling town of Gangtok on one side and the majestic Himalayan peaks on the other.
