Dhauli Hills, prominently known for the Dhauligiri Shanti Stupa, is a majestic peace monument situated near Bhubaneswar, approximately 55 km away from the Konark Sun Temple . The stupa features four distinct statues of Lord Buddha facing all four cardinal directions, and its walls beautifully depict scenes from his life . Located at a significant height, climbing to the top of the stupa rewards visitors with a spectacular 360-degree panoramic view of the surrounding landscape . Aside from the Buddhist monument, the site also houses an ancient Shiva temple, believed to date back to the Mahabharata era, located right behind the stupa.
